Terms of Service

Audiochan is a free, open, and highly accessible site for creating and sharing intimate audio. It is currently in early beta, so please be patient with us as we work hard to tweak and improve everything. By accessing or using the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.

Listening and Viewing Content

• You must be at least 18 years old and a legal adult in your country
• You understand that all content is purely fictional, fantasy roleplay and not real or endorsed by Audiochan
• You understand that Audiochan is not responsible for any content on the site, as we are purely a content hosting site (like NSFW SoundCloud but never any ads)
• You agree not to download or save any content (audio files, scripts, etc) from the site, whether for personal use, public, or to reverse engineer the site. Playing an audio using our player is the only way to legally listen to content on the site.

Account Creation

When you create an account on Audiochan:

• You may only upload content that you own or have permission to share
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

When you post content on Audiochan:

• You retain ownership of your content.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display your content. This is standard and similar to how user-generated sites like YouTube/Reddit and other sites work.
• You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or infringe on others' rights.
• You must tag all NSFW content appropriately with tags and use !content! to mark sensitive names in content when necessary.

Prohibited Content

The following types of content are prohibited on Audiochan:

• Content that promotes hate speech or discrimination
• Content that depicts minors in a sexual or suggestive manner
• Content that violates copyright or intellectual property rights
• Content that contains illegal material or promotes illegal activities
• Content that contains personal information

Site Usage

When using Audiochan, you agree to:

• Not scrape or crawl the site, reverse engineer, or use any automated means to access the site
• Not attempt to solicit the site's users, or interfere with its operation in any way
• Not impersonate another person or entity, mislead listeners or other creators

We use third party services to actively monitor and identify bad actors and patterns in our system and are committed to taking legal action against them.

Stolen Content

We take stolen content very seriously. If content shared on Audiochan is found to be stolen and re-uploaded to other sites without the creator's permission, we will help creators identify the thief and at the very least help issue a DMCA takedown notice. If you are found to be sharing stolen content or maliciously damaging the site, your account will not only be terminated, but we may commit to taking serious legal action against you.

If you find that there is stolen content posted on our platform, email abuse@audiochan.com and we'll remove it as soon as possible.

Data Security

We implement many technical measures to protect your data including automatic daily backups of everyone's content. However, no service or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we do not give any warranties.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we at our sole discretion determine you have violated these Terms of Service or engage in behavior that we determine is harmful to the site or other users.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Audiochan is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the site will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Audiochan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the site.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
